Q: What is the return policy for buying a new Lexus car in California?
I traded in a used BMW for a new Lexus and now I changed my mind and want my BMW car since i feel like i have lost a lot of money. If i want to return the car to the dealership, will i get all my money back? And will the process be harder if i do return the car? thanks
A: I think your stuck with it if you bring it back you will probably lose somewhere between 10% and 15% of the cars value plus all taxes and fees. it now has to be sold as a used car and that means the dealer must sell it for a few thousand less. it is always hard to go from a good drivers car to a car like Lexus because you loose allot in driving dynamics and handling but if you keep the Lexus you can look forward to better reliability. although it is hardly an even trade off, keep the Lexus for a few years and then trade it for a new BMW
Q: I recentley saw a new lexus on the road and the licence plate bulbs were i nice pure white color.anyone?
Newer Lexus cars have license plate bulbs that have HID like lighting to them. Were can we buy bulbs like these.I did from Ebay and they say white but once installed they are more of a blue/purple type of white.

A: all Lexus vehicles since 1989, the birth, require premium fuel.
if you are worried about fuel costs and owning this car....don't buy it. for just a service trip will scare you to death. not saying they break down or anything, but it is a "high line auto". service rates are not cheap, but you do get treated well and get a Lexus as a loaner car.
If you buy one or own one, do not take it anywhere but Lexus for service or you will be asking for major problems and expenses. Basics like tires or brakes can be done outside, but I from plugs and all the rest, I would leave that up to Lexus.

A: Old School way:
Call all of the Lexus dealers in your area and ask them for a quote on what you want. Tell each dealer your lowest quote and ask them to beat it. Call the closest dealership last and tell them your best quote. Chances are they will at least match it, which is convenient for you.
New School Way:
Go to one or all of the websites below, request a quote online from multiple dealers, and pick the best quote.
Don't forget to shop for financing and get an insurance quote on the new car before you buy. You don't want to be surprised when you walk out of the dealership.

A: The ongoing time....after september every year there is a increase in taxes n its better to buy before january because vigilance is not so tight till january from mid-june..

I rented a brand new '08 Cadillac STS, and it although it was a nice car, it just didn't seem to measure up as far as quality to a Lexus, BMW and Mercedes I have driven. I know that some of America's best engineers are working in the aerospace industry or computer industry, but there should be enough good engineers left to design and build better cars.
American cars are getting better, but they always seem to be behind the top Japanese or German models.

The U.S. big three are years behind in styling and technology. Besides the HEMI.. which is pretty much just a fancy name for a v8 that sound awesome, they're trucks aren't even that great. Toyota and Nissan have both surpassed their truck quality and performance.

A: It really depends on how well the owner took care of it. Did it have regular service? Has it been in an accident? Any major repairs? If all these look good, it is likely to last much longer. I've seen some lexus's with over 250 k miles running fine, but they were babied.

Before the new design for '08; I would look at the two from the back and without the label; they look exactly the same. But now even more before after the design; they really look alike. Why is that?

Because i own a 1999 lexus rx300 and wanted to buy another one, but prices are still kind of high. So i figured i would wait till the new body style came out then go and search for a 04-09 body style because they might be cheaper.
