A: What is the difference on a Certified Pre Owned vehicle from an Used Car Backed by Limited Factory Warranty? None ! The words Used Cars feels like wore out, out date, abused, used, craped out, etc... An used car is any car that just drives off the lot after a purchase, does not matter if is 2 miles or 2 feet, is an used car. So dealers, takes the ones that are in a fairly good shape and they came with this new Marketing Words so its does not feels like an Used car so people can buy them. If is all wore out it goes to the Used car lot with the Polyester Suiters with big smiles... Any sales person knows this. Is the way to make it more palatable for the consumer to eat it. I used to go with my dad while he worked for an Importer's Company. We sat during marketing presentations an see the market analysis. What was the target crowd and how to apply certain buzz words along with prices. People eat that stuff if is labeled right and gives them the feel that they walked out with a steal. The majority of the consumers are pretty gullible... The same as Recalls, some companies calls them Campaigns, is a matter of terms. Are the same things but if you search for Recalls you will find none, if you search for Campaigns and you see what they are, is just another Recall in disguised. Or the new buzz word now, Event. A: First of all, there is no 1999 Lexus IS300. I own a 99 Lexus GS300, with 110,000 miles currently. It is not only the best car I have owned (first car in 1951), but the best car anyone I know has ever owned. I have replaced the starter and lower ball joints, and have installed new front brake pads. Other that these, only routine maintenance from Lexus, and they are very good at it! Your look depends on whether or not this car has been maintained properly. Look at the records. These are very good cars!

hi, I have a Lexus ES300. 92year model. I just want to ask how should I care about car, so that it would work at least 5-10y more. I mean, there are some fluids wich you add to the gas tank - they clean injuctors and stuff.... at lease it says so on the pakage. Does this stuff real helps? Another thing is I went to mechanic to ask how much gonna cost me to change timing belt and transmission fluid he toldme 1000$ at least it's like 50% of the cost of my car! Now what I,m trying to figure out is there any cheap way to keep car running that's all I need. thank you!

A: Shop around for a mechanic that will have a reasonable price. I'm restoring a 63 Buick, and it runs like a champ. Some of these fluids will work. Just takes time. Best thing is to keep on top of the maintenance. Change oil regularly, flush the cooling system, and the engine as well (I flush my engine about every 100k miles) Also, find a shop manual for your car. It will help you with repairs that you can do on your own and it will save a lot of money in the long run. Plus you will know what you've repaired.

A: Lexus cars are the best vehicles on the planet. They are reliable, powerful, high quality, and a great value. The sports car Lexus you probably saw was an SC 430. I'm just guessing. Was it a two door? If so, you'd be paying about $65k base price for one of those. But, you might have seen the four door IS or GS. The IS starts at about $30k and the GS starts at about $45k. A: Toyota engines are know for being very reliable. You could possibly squeeze 300,00 plus miles out of it with proper maintenance such as regular oil, coolant replacement. Make sure you radiator hoses and vacuume lines dont crack or get holes in them. Dont over heat the car no matter what the situation is. The number one killer of engines is overheating and low or no oil pressure.

A: These are called HID Xenon lights, it's actually an entire kit and the good ones can be very expensive, you can also get them on eBay but be wary of those they usually give problems early on in use

Sure, your economy is horrible. People who should be making minimum wage driving a delivery truck are making like 100,000 per year. Ragbir, a delivery truck driver, said he is looking to trade in his Lexus LS 400 for a smaller car. Poor guy.

A: The LS 400 is actually quite an older model, not worth much!! My sister is a truck driver and she drives as much as she can, with a partner, and they can't make 100k together, after all the gas and repair expenses.
