Q: Kia Optima Question?
I have a 2004 Kia Optima LX,I've been trying to customize some things with aftermarket parts,So far i've added a catback exhaust and an Intake,i've also started some neon work on the inside,but i've been looking everywhere online for some other things.Now,I understand that there aren't many parts for optimas,but maybe someone here knows where I can find some things or atleast knows what parts labeled to be for other cars will fit mine...I've been looking for a CUSTOM GRILLE,CARBON FIBER HOOD AND A SPEED GAUGE...so if anyone can help me by letting me know what aftermarket parts labeled for other cars [like hyundai-which is the sister car company] will fit my car,or a site that specializes in making aftermarket parts for Kia's would be greatly appreciated and would recieve 5 stars...thanks!
Ok,i didn't ask if you thought it was a good car,which by the way is,my car is excellent,for a luxury car it can hit 125+ MPH with good accelaration on my 2.4 v6 manual tranny :)
A: your best bet is e-bay or the crags list, or just to look overseas online for somthing like that. im sure that you can find some parts like that in japan or europe where car customising is at a high. japan is the best bet though

Q: i just brought a 07 kia optima and the air stinks when first turned on .It is used and 30,000?
A: that's usually caused from leaves or debris that got caught up in the outside vent and got pulled in to the heater box,then this rots,and that's what causes that too happen,it usually wont clear up on its own,it usually has to be removed,and it can also be old water standing in the heater box and that is caused by a drainage block for the air conditioner,that can be cleared out with a piece of wire ran through the drainage hole to free the drain plug on it,you may want a shop to check this and make sure its not clogged up,if it is it may start coming out in the floor on the passengers side of the vehicle,these are just a few things that it could be good luck.
Q: has anyone ever had this problem with a 02 kia optima?
Ive brought this car to 3 mechanics...the car starts and runs fine until it warms up..then it stalls...the last mechanic, the one where its being fixed says its the computer...He replaced the computer hoping it would fix the problem...no luck...now he says there are 2 computers and it has to be the other one...so hes rereplacing the second computer now...computers arent cheap for this car $800-900....I only have to pay for one comp, but this is getting old...any ideas?...please help...thanks
A: Should have bought an extended warranty, especially on a KIA!! Then you wouldn't have to worry about spending $800-900 per visit!!

A: Automatic tranny oil. Usually people call them ATF (automatic transmission fluid).

Q: My Kia Optima Window controller has broken on all 4 windows. Has this happened to anyone else?
not under warranty as it is not included in the 60/60000 and would not be in the extended either.
A: Is the vehicle still under bumper/bumper warranty like 10 years/100,000. miles, also call your local Kia dealer regarding a open recall on your vehicle and have them run your VIN, 17 digit's and see if there is any open recalls, if there is Kia has to replace all parts/labor because of the defect of the manufacturer, also you should recieve a letter by the Kia Motor regarding this...
Q: Kia optima,Dodge Avenger,or Ford Fusion?
Which is the best buy? Looking to spend no more then 19K if I can help it.
A: I have a 1998 Dodge Avenger and it has been extremely good to me... even when I was not so good to it! :-\ It has almost 90k miles and shows no signs of even coming close to dying any time soon...

A: Try asking your Kia dealer. They should be able to tell you where to get some touch-up paint.

A: 18" rims will fit on your car but with a definate loss in shock absorbtion due to the fact your going to be puttin low-pro tires on the car to fit the rims. but yes theyw ill fit and wont rub against the wheel well

Q: I recently bought a Kia Optima like 6 months ago. Everything has been fine, up until about three weeks ago.?
The problem is that when I start the car( after it has been idle for a few hours) it makes this rattling kind of squealing noise for about 30 seconds and then it goes away. My friend who is a mechaninc, says it sounds like a belt is loose or something. So I go to KIA since it is still under warranty and the service guy says that it could be cuz the A/C is on when I start it, but I told him that the air is not always on and this problem doesn't just happen in the mornings. Has anyone else ever had a similar problem???? What did you do to solve it? I am getting frustrated with the dealership becasue I know the sound is there..........it just happend after the car has been idle for awhile. Any help is appreciated.
A: It sounds like the belt tensioner pulley might be going bad.I would have it checked....The belt could be a little loose...Does it squeal loudly when you hit the gas?...

A: I have a 2002 Optima. It has 180,000 miles and the only thing that has been a problem is, believe it or not, the plug wires. I have had to replace them 2 times. Other than that it has been a great car. Just do all of the recommended maintenance.
