it's 2008 1.6L
A: The 2 litre [ 2008 ] is approx. 141 hp [ 105 k/w at 6000 r.p.m.] The 1.6 is basically same engine as Hyundai Avante - 121 hp. [ actually makes the Cerato one of the most powerful non-turbo, 1.6-litre engined cars in mainstream production. Not too bad for a car is classed as 'budget'. ]

Q: What is the difference between motor CVVT and motor DHOC specially in Kia Cerato?
A: CVVT= Constantly variable valve timing. In a normal engine the valves that let fuel and air into the engine work by a camshaft, each lobe is shaped like this <) and the camshaft pushes the valves open and lets the valves close. The camshaft is run off a pulley which is attached to the crankshaft via a belt (cambelt) or chain (you guessed it camchain) With a CVVT engine the valves open at diferent rates ie they can stay open longer, shorter, or wider, depending on how you drive the car (if you thrash it you will cause the valves to open more to allow more fuel and air into the engine and get the exhause gasses out ASAP) As for a DHOC i think you mean DOHC Double overhead cam, going back to the normal engine i mentioned earlier, it just means that you hae 2 camshafts instead of one, engines like this usualy have 16 valves and more, letting in more air/fuel and letting out exhaust gasses quicker making an improvement in economy and performance. PHEW, if that doesent deserve 10 points then I dont know what does!!!

A: buy the hyundai! you'll love it and it's affordable and reliable.

A: sounds like the electronic idle valve, this happened to me - expensive if its not under warranty

A: Of course Sunny! Kia produce nice but easy-to-brakedown cars.But Nissan is long-life car.For example,Renault use in it's cars Nissan engines.but Kia uses Hyundai or other cars' engines.

A: Well is a..."Kia" don't think u need to say anymore then that.

A: Nope, I don't like all Kia car's.
Q: What about KIA CERATO?
A: I own a Kia Cerato 1.6 petrol.
For the cost new it was by far the best car on the market for me.
I can carry the family and a good size shop, but it does become limited if you want to carry "oversize" items in the boot space.
Its performance IS good (don't believe clarkson and co) and i can happily cruise on the motorways along with anything else on the road and know that there is something left if needs be. ITs sluggish under 3000 revs but then lifts up.

A: I've been driving my Kia for almost 3 years now and I LOVE it. The vehicle itself is awesome, we've had no problems with it and the customer service at our dealership is amazing!!
Q: Adding power to my car!!?
I have just bought a 2004 KIA cerato. Its a 2.0 engine and I would like to know how I could add some power or Kw's to my engine. I dont want to spend a great deal around a couple of hundred. I have read about intake systems and supercharge systems, but I dont really know much about these. If anyone knows about cars can they please suggest something

A: <>You are right...injection systems and superchargers can be expensive, but there are cheaper things you can do, like better spark plugs and improved performance modules that should be within your budget. Talk to the people at your local performance or better auto parts store....they can and will help.
Q: More power!?
I have a 2004 kia Cerato 2.0i. I realise this car has not got a big engine or great power but i just wanted some tips on improving power output. I do not know much about cars but wanted any advice that anyone has to offer. I dont want to spend a great deal of money $500 max...Air intake systems, exaust, any other tips would be great as im not sure of the best way to go about improving power.
